When David’s aunt gifted him his own camera, his view of the world changed forever. His adoration and love for others manifested in the power of his shots. A place where he could capture another’s life through the lens of a camera. David’s art is rooted in the exploration of beauty, vitality and the personal in the Black figure. His photographs explore themes of identity and uncertainty in the people he captures.

David enrolled at Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he took his first film course and learned about photographer and filmmaker Gordon Parks. Graduating with a BA and MA in Mass Media Communication in 2015, he began his career as a production studio professional, working for studios like Marvel Entertainment, NBCUniversal, and FX Network.
