We help artists grow into the best versions of themselves. At the Vanguard, we prioritize our artists’ confidence, vision, and personal success as metrics of growth. We want to see our artists and communities flourish at the same time. Profit does not have to be the enemy of community & support.

Started by Cerina Shippey and Sydney Oshuna in January of 2023, the two co-founders realized that Black artists are often underrepresented and unsupported. With the two having backgrounds in the entertainment & film industry, they knew their connections and experience could help artists skyrocket. Artists should be able to focus on their craft without business being a barrier to entry. At the Vanguard, we teach our artists to learn for themselves so they can go off and dream big.
